South African Institute of Architects (SAIA)
The South African Institute of Architects and the Regional Institutes are committed to maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, integrity and competence.
Members – who voluntarily enroll with the institute – are required to uphold and subscribe to these objectives, and within the built environment, strive to improve the standards of health and safety for the protection and welfare of all members of society and to enhance with their professional skills, the natural environment to the benefit of all.
Members of the institute, registered as professional architects, are educated and trained to provide leadership, critical judgment, specialist knowledge, skills and aptitude, for the design and development of the built environment.
The Border Kei Institute for Architecture (BKIA)
The Border Kei Institute for Architecture is a local representative of the South African Institute for Architecture, and supports and acts on behalf of the national voluntary organization.
The BKIA aims to connect and enrich our local architectural community through various events and media as well as through a professional support system.
Green Building Council of South Africa
The GBCSA is an independent, non-profit, membership-based organisation that was formed in 2007 by leaders from all sectors of the commercial property industry. They GBCSA is a member of the World Green Building Council and the official certification body of buildings under the Green Star SA Rating System. The GBCSA aims to ensure that all buildings are built and operated in an environmentally sustainable way so that all South African’s work and live in healthy, effective and productive environments.
South African Property Owners Association (SAPOA)
SAPOA’s mission is to be committed to actively and responsibly represent, promote and to protect the interests of our member’s commercial activities within the property industry.
