SOUTH AFRICAN INSTITUTE OF ARCHITECTS (SAIA)
The South African Institute of Architects and the Regional Institutes are committed to maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, integrity and competence.
Members of the institute, registered as professional architects, are educated and trained to provide leadership, critical judgment, specialist knowledge, skills and aptitude, for the design and development of the built environment.
THE BORDER KEI INSTITUTE FOR ARCHITECTURE (BKIA)
The Border Kei Institute for Architecture is a local representative of the South African Institute for Architecture, and supports and acts on behalf of the national voluntary organization.
The BKIA aims to connect and enrich our local architectural community through various events and media as well as through a professional support system.
GREEN BUILDING COUNCIL OF SOUTH AFRICA (GBCSA)
The GBCSA is an independent, non-profit, membership-based organisation that was formed in 2007 by leaders from all sectors of the commercial property industry. They GBCSA is a member of the World Green Building Council and the official certification body of buildings under the Green Star SA Rating System. The GBCSA aims to ensure that all buildings are built and operated in an environmentally sustainable way so that all South African’s work and live in healthy, effective and productive environments.
SOUTH AFRICAN PROPERTY OWNERS ASSOCIATION (SAPOA)
The South African Property Owners Association (SAPOA) is a unique, member driven organisation that aims to represent, protect and advance members’ commercial and industrial property interests within the property industry in terms of ownership, management and development. Its objectives are based on the principles of the free enterprise system, as the only workable economic system and the inalienability of property ownership, not only for its members but also for the future of South Africa, and its competitiveness in the world arena.
